On Feb 2, 2010 I found out some devastating news...One of my best childhood friends was stabbed to death by her boyfriend. She was only 25.
Although I haven't spoken to her in a number of years...I have always considered her as a sister. When we were growing up, we were inseparable. She was a firecracker! Full of life. What I admire most about her is that she was different...and she wasn't afraid to be different.
I know that God has a plan for all of us... and we should never question His will...when it is our time to go...then its our time. But Lord knows that we miss her here.
I just ask everyone to pray for her family and friends...especially her two babies she left behind!!
I am thinking of starting a scholarship fund in honor of her...and also having a domestic violence forum for my mentoring program. As women we need to teach our girls about relationships, and especially UNHEALTHY relationships!!! It's time for us to end this epidemic!!!!
Danielle, I love you and I wish that I could have spent more time with you when we got older!! Our different paths separated us...but you will always be my sister!! I miss you!! R.I.P....Until we meet again...
